Knit Motorcycle: Purls Like a Kitten

One of a kind hand knit motorcycle cozy in pink. Using an actual motorcycle, the artist Theresa (Trixie) Honeywell knits covers for each different part of the motorcycle to create an all over covering (or cozy) that turns the motorcycle into a yarn covered sculpture. Once the bike is covered in yarn, it is NOT usable as a motorcycle anymore.

Past Knit Motorcycles have been displayed in the Georgia Museum of Art, Le Mieux Gallery in New Orleans, LA., CMS Atelier in MI., and the Craft Art Center in NJ.

Theresa Honeywell is also represented by these galleries:

LeMieux Gallery in New Orleans, LA.
Estel Gallery in Nashville, TN
Young Blood Art Gallery in Atlanta
Houston Center for Contemporary Craft
